I’ve only had my carport for a week when a mishap occurred – I accidentally backed my small cargo trailer into one of the corner posts, causing some damage. To make matters worse, it also affected a side rail. Desperate to find replacement poles, I reached out to Advance Outdoor. I explained that it had been about six months since my purchase and that I was responsible for the damage. I purchased this carport to provide year-round coverage for my convertible, which sits in a sunny driveway. Assembling this carport was relatively straightforward, though I would appreciate more detailed assembly instructions. While the product video offers some helpful hints, having a step-by-step set of images or even a comprehensive video guide would simplify the process. I recommend taking a few minutes to lay out all the components on the ground before starting assembly. In total, my wife and I spent approximately 90 minutes setting it up and positioning it. I’m impressed with the sturdiness of all the poles, connectors, and bungee cords. It’s a thoughtful touch that they include two pairs of gloves, as some pole ends can be a bit jagged or sharp. The roof cover, although seeming somewhat thin, will be put to the test as it faces different seasons and direct sunlight over time. To secure the canopy once it’s assembled, they provide ample hardware, including weight bags, ground pegs, and rope – all of which feel robust and reliable. Invest in this carport to safeguard your vehicle, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with its quality construction and durability.

This temporary structure offers exceptional value for the price, and I consider it a quality investment. When it arrived, it came in two substantial cardboard boxes. However, one of the boxes containing the tent material looked worse for wear, and I was relieved that it survived the shipping journey. It was on the brink of rupture upon arrival. We’ve had this structure up for a month now, and it has braved two gales and copious amounts of rain. During a recent windstorm with gusts of up to 50 miles per hour, it did make quite a bit of noise as it flapped in the wind at night. Despite taking some damage, it impressively weathered the storm. I had all the guy wires and stakes properly in place, and I even tied it off to my house for added stability. It’s worth noting that a few of the Velcro pole attachment points in the tent came unstitched during this super high wind, but I don’t fault the product given the extreme conditions it endured. In terms of assembly, there is room for improvement in the instructions provided, and the metal posts could be better marked for ease of assembly – a minor point. It would be helpful if the metal poles were clearly labeled, such as ‘a-a’ and ‘b-b’, to indicate which parts should be assembled together. All in all, I would not hesitate to purchase this structure again for temporary storage or vehicle shelter. I wholeheartedly recommend this item, especially for its durability and resilience in challenging environments.

The seamless assembly of this product is truly impressive, with the tubes interlocking effortlessly yet securely. Setting it up with a partner takes just about 30 minutes, and even if you decide to tackle it alone, it’s still achievable in a little over an hour. The tarp itself is of commendable quality and has proven to be quite resilient in the face of sun exposure and mild to medium winds ranging from 20 to 40 miles per hour. While I reside in California, which doesn’t often experience strong winds, the few instances when it did occur, this structure held up admirably. While I cannot vouch for its performance in snowy conditions, it has proven itself to be reliable in terms of wind and rain protection. In terms of durability, the only minor issue I encountered was one of the loops designed for securing it to the ground ripping apart during a particularly fierce windstorm. However, it’s worth noting that this mishap didn’t affect the integrity of the metal poles or the tarp itself. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone in search of a sturdy, adjustable-height tarp. It has consistently demonstrated its reliability and has yet to disappoint.
